Cowgirl Junk Western Show Vests

Where and how did Cowgirl Junk western show vests get started?

Fist, they are made in USA.   Right here in southern Ohio to be more exact.   It is our in-house label for apparel and accessories.  As a store buyer for 20+ years I try to find a good quality item at a good price for my customers.  Sometimes this is hard to do.  It is either cheap and ill fitting or really expensive.  Show Clothing has been  one of my passions all though out my youth.   I tried my hand at designing a line a couple of different times through the years.

This past time was the one I went in feet first.  Really.  I started with a yard of fabric and scrambling around to find a zipper that opened on both ends.  I've since learned they are called separating zippers.   Little bit by little bit I learned a lot apparel and manufacturing.   We surpassed the one off custom vest making a long time ago.   It has been neat to see our brand go from 1-2 vests per week to over 1,000 units made last year!

Has anyone ever had dumb luck?  That is exactly what happened to me with this vest pattern.  I wanted to develop a vest that a performance rider could be comfortable in.  The arm holes are a little bigger for movement, the bottom is flared for your chaps and the princess seams makes the garment lay nicely.

Since I cashed in all of my luck on the vest, I have struggled with the development of other pieces.    Don't worry... I do not give up easy!
